Space Fest is our biggest weekend of the year – 120+ classes across contemporary, jazz, hip hop, commercial, ballet, tap, and more.
Your pass unlocks every class running on the days you book. No complicated pre-registration, no picking the “wrong” class. Just show up to whatever calls to you. All levels genuinely welcome.
Whether this is your first weekend like this or you’ve been dancing for years, there’s a place for you here. Industry professionals teaching. Genuine fun, real technique and zero intimidation.

Your Questions Answered
Do I need dance experience to attend Space Fest?
No. Classes run at different levels throughout the weekend. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced, so you can choose what feels right for you.
New to dance? There are classes designed specifically for beginners. Been training for years? There are advanced sessions and masterclasses to push your technique.
Your pass unlocks everything, so you can move between levels as you feel comfortable. Our teachers are excellent at meeting you where you are and challenging you appropriately.
Your first class might feel like a lot. That’s completely normal and part of the journey.
How does the Festival Pass work?
Your pass gives you access to all classes running on the day(s) you’ve booked. There’s no need to pre-register for specific classes—just turn up to whatever calls to you.
1 Day Pass: Access to all classes on one day
3 Day Pass: Access to all classes across the full weekend
What if I can't attend all three days?
No problem! The 1 Day Pass is perfect if you can only make it for one or two days. Choose whichever day(s) works for your schedule.
What should I bring?
- Comfortable dance clothing
- Water bottle
- Towel
- Sneakers (for hip hop/commercial classes)
- Bare feet or jazz shoes for other styles
- Positive energy
Will I feel out of place?
You’ll feel like you found your people. Space Fest brings together Melbourne’s dance community. All ages, all backgrounds, all body types, all levels. What everyone shares is curiosity and a love of movement. That’s the only entry requirement.
Can I buy a pass at the door?
Yes, but passes are cheaper when you book early, and we can’t guarantee availability day-of if we hit capacity. Book ahead to lock in your spot and save money.
Are the Masterclass sessions included in my Space Fest pass?
Yes. If you have a Festival Pass, all masterclasses are included. Just show up to any session you want.
We also offer a Masterclass Pass for dancers who only want to attend Masterclass Series sessions without attending the full festival.
