What to Wear
The Space does not have a set uniform- we encourage students to wear any clothing that they are comfortable in and can move freely in.
For specialty styles including Ballet and Jazz, there are some essential items that we recommend in order to get the most out of the class. You can find these recommendations, as well as a general idea of what to wear to each style dance class outlined below
Fairy Ballet
- Any colour leotard
- Tights, leggings or bike shorts
- Skirt or crossover (optional)
- Or clothes that the child depicts as fairy-like to them
Lil Groovers, Lil Hoppers and Lil Breakers
- Shorts, leggings or dance pants
- Singlet top or t shirt
- Runners
Ballet
- Any colour leotard
- Tights, leggings or bike shorts
- Skirt or crossover (optional)
- Ballet shoes
- Hair pulled back off the face (bun secured in place preferred)
Jazz and Musical Theatre
- Shorts, leggings or dance pants
- Singlet top or t shirt
- Jazz shoes
- Hair pulled back off the face
Lyrical, Contemporary and Acrobatics
- Shorts, leggings or dance pants
- Singlet top or t shirt
- Bare feet or foot thongs
- Hair pulled back off the face
Hip Hop, Commercial, KPOP and Break Dancing
- Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as tracksuit pants or cargos (no jeans)
- Runners
