What to Wear
To ensure that you all get the most out of your classes, there are some essential clothing items for Ballet and Jazz and some recommendations about appropriate attire for the other classes. Here's a general idea of what to wear for the different styles of dance provided with KTY!
The Space does not have a set uniform but ere are some "What to Wear" suggestions.
All suggestions here are non-gendered. Your child can chose to wear whatever they like.
Lil Groovers
- Shorts, leggings or dance pants
- Singlet top or t shirt
- Runner or Sneakers
- Socks
Fairy Ballet
- Any coloured leotard,
- Tights, leggings or bike shorts
- Or clothes that the child depicts as fairy to them

Fairies are non-gendered.
Pre Ballet & Ballet
- Hair off the face (bun secured in place preferred)
- Leotard - these are made in different cuts to suit different body types
- Ballet Shoes
- Tights, Leggings or bike shorts
- Matching skirt (optional)
- Matching crossover (optional)
Junior Jazz, Jazz and Musical Theatre
- Shorts, leggings or dance pants
- Singlet top or t shirt
- Jazz Shoes
- Socks or tights
- Hair pulled back off face
Hip Hop, Commercial, Break Dancing and Lil Hoppers
- Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as tracksuit pants and cargos (no jeans)
- Sneakers or runners
Lyrical, Contemporary & Acro
- Shorts, leggings or dance pants
- Singlet top or t shirt
- Bare Feet or Foot Thongs
- Hair pulled back off the face
