General Information
Kids Teen Youth (KTY) Dance Classes are located at The Space Dance and Arts Centre, Upstairs 318 Chapel Street Prahran. The entrance is located on Carlton Street and reception is on Level One.
Students and parents are required to check in through reception before heading to class where the teacher will then mark an attendance roll.
Students are required to arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes before the start of class to change clothes (if needed) and the class to start on time.
Parents and not allowed to sit in on classes. We discourage this to limit distraction during the class so the teacher has the full attention of all the students. However, parents are welcome to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the end of class to view a showing of what the kids have been doing that day.
There are some essential clothing and shoe requirements for Ballet and Jazz, and some recommendations for clothing for the other classes on the timetable. Click here to see WHAT TO WEAR.
NOTES: Exceptions are given for the TINY TOTS Classes, where parents are allowed to sit in on the class at the teacher’s discretion.
Enrolments
Student enrolments for KTY are taken online or through reception at the Space. It’s recommended that parents enrol their children before the first class of the term.
KTY has 2 open days through out the year and during Term 1 and Term 3 we offer trial classes where parents and students can come in to The Space, trial new classes meet some of the teachers and find out any more information regarding KTY Dance!
KTY Classes are organized by levels and students are enrolled into classes based on their skill level, using reccommended ages ranges as a guide.
