Performing in Junior & Senior ShowcasesPerforming in Junior & Senior ShowcasesWhen students are part of the Junior or Senior Showcases, they will perform in both shows of their respective level. For example, the Junior Showcase includes two identical performances. This structure ensures:
Performing twice is a valuable experience for our dancers, helping them build confidence and giving them the thrill of multiple performances. Please note: Due to their age, Little Groovers perform only once, in a special Saturday morning show. |

Does my child need to be present for all times listed?Students perform in both shows Students are required to perform in both concerts (if relevant) on their concert day. If your child cannot perform in the show/s, or cannot attend rehearsals, please let us know ASAP. What does my child need to wear to the dress rehearsal/show?All students will be provided with a Space owned costume for the End of Year Show. Additionally, some classes will be asked to provide basic items such as black leggings or t-shirts. Costume Information Sheets outlining everything each student needs will be sent out 2 weeks before the dress rehearsal day. The costumes themselves will be handed out in class the week before the dress rehearsal day. If you have any costume questions, please ask your teachers. What about hair and makeup?Hair and makeup requirements are specific to each individual class and will be outlined in the Costume Information Sheet which will be sent out 2 weeks before the dress rehearsal day. What does my child do when they arrive at The Space? All students should enter via The Space Main Entrance, and sign in at Reception on Level 1. They will then be directed on where to go for orientation. Does my child need to bring their own food?Yes! All students should bring a healthy lunch and plenty of snacks (not messy, and not to share). It is also important that all students have a refillable water bottle. Does my child need to stay for the whole show?Yes, in addition to their class routines, all students come back onstage at the end for a grand finale! How long is the concert expected to run for?We split our concerts up into 3 separate shows according to age group, meaning each show should be no longer than 1-1.5 hours - short & sweet! Do we get to keep the costumes after the concert?Unfortunately not, we reuse the costumes for various other performances during the year. Where can I purchase tickets?Tickets will be available for purchase from Monday November 11th via http://bookings.thespace.com.au Are there still classes after the concert?Yes! There is still 1 week of classes after the concert before we break for the December School Holidays. This week is also our “Free Trial Week” - a perfect time for your child to try out some new classes before the break! Have a question that isn't listed? We want to ensure that the weekend runs as smoothly as possible so please feel free to get in touch with The Space on 9529 3949 or kty@thespace.com.au with any other questions you may have!
