Parent Notice - 3rd Aug 2021
Hello ALL K.T.Y Dance Families!
EXCITING NEWS - WE ARE PERFORMING OUR MID-YEAR SHOWCASES (our Term 1 & 2 Dances)!!!
Our plan of attack is to have each child perform on the day that they normally come to class (There are a couple of classes that will be on different days - you have been contacted).
To explain, we wanted the students to have the opportunity to perform to an audience, however we are restricted to a maximum of 100 people in the audience. We really didn't want to delay the Showcases any further so that everyone could move on to new exercies and dances in class and we could more effectively include new students in classes.
** We are doing our best to accommodate everyone based on the current circumstances - we do sincerely apologise if this is not convenient for you or your child.
- DUE TO THE CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS, WE ARE OFFERING EACH STUDENT 2 TICKETS FOR THEIR CHILD'S PERFORMANCE.

- NEW DANCE FAMILIES at The Space: If you have just started TERM 3 or ONLY DONE A TRIAL CLASS - please do not attend class on the following dates as NO CLASSES WILL BE RUNNING. Your Dancer(s) will be able to do a make-up session.
- If your Dancer was away from class this week and is in the performance, PLEASE MAKE A TIME TO COLLECT THEIR COSTUME PRIOR TO THEIR RELEVANT PERFORMANCE DATE.
- Please read your 'Costume Handout Form' - Dancers to arrive with basic make-up, hair neat and wearing first costume under warm-up clothes where possible. (refer to below for Running Orders).
PLEASE REFER TO THE NUMBER LIST BELOW AND READ THE INFORMATION RELEVANT TO YOUR DANCER(S):
1) THURSDAY 5TH AUGUST - SHOWCASE DETAILS (Including King David Classes)
2) SATURDAY 7TH AUGUST (1st Performance) - SHOWCASE DETAILS
3) SATURDAY 7TH AUGUST (2nd Performance) - SHOWCASE DETAILS (Kinder & Level 0 Classes not performing in this show)
5) TUESDAY 10TH AUGUST - SHOWCASE DETAILS
1) THURSDAY 5TH AUGUST - SHOWCASE DETAILS:
- PERFORMANCE TIME: 5:30PM - 6:30PM (approx)
- DROP OFF TIME: Parents drop off students between 4:30pm - 4:45pm (Students will warm-up and rehearse with their teacher in their groups).
- STUDENTS: Arrive wearing their first costume (with warm clothes over the top). CLICK HERE FOR RUNNING ORDER OF SHOWS.
- PARENTS: To Check-In and be seated in the SKYDECK from 5:15PM. There is a lift for accessibility if required.
- PLEASE NOTE: At the end of the Performance please wait in your seat for instruction. We will release one level at a time to minimise contact between different groups.
- STUDENTS: Please have a change of clothes to wear for the FINALE. Costumes are to go back in the plastic bag provided and give to their teacher. (No costumes are to be taken home after the performance).
2) SATURDAY 7TH AUGUST - 1st Performance - SHOWCASE DETAILS:
HOWEVER, IF YOUR CHILD PARTICIPATES IN THE KINDER AND LEVEL 0 CLASSES AS FOLLOWS; Fairy Ballet; Lil' Groovers; Junior Song & Dance; Junior Jazz or Pre-Ballet PLEASE PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS FOR THIS 1ST SHOW ONLY. (These students will only do this one performance).
- PERFORMANCE TIME: 10:30AM - 11:30AM (approx)
- DROP OFF TIME: Parents drop off students between 9:30AM - 9:45AM (Students will warm-up and rehearse with their teacher in their groups).
- STUDENTS: Arrive wearing their first costume (with warm clothes over the top). CLICK HERE FOR RUNNING ORDER OF SHOWS.
- PARENTS: To Check-In and be seated in the SKYDECK from 10:15AM. There is a lift for accessibility if required.
- PLEASE NOTE: At the end of the Performance Kinder and Level 0 students will be dismissed and can go home. Please wait in your seat for instruction. We will release one level at a time to minimise contact between different groups.
- STUDENTS: Please have a change of clothes to wear for the FINALE. Costumes are to go back in the plastic bag provided and give to their teacher. (No costumes are to be taken home after the performance).
3) SATURDAY 7TH AUGUST - 2nd Performance - SHOWCASE DETAILS:** LEVELS 1 - 4 PERFORM IN BOTH SATURDAY SHOWCASES (this is so as Parents have an opportunity to book as we only have 100 seat capacity)
- PERFORMANCE TIME: 12:30PM-1:30PM (approx)
- STUDENTS: Stay with their Teacher in the BREAK - have a snack and water and get ready for their 2nd Showcase.
- PARENTS: Please provide snacks, water bottles and any make-up that may need a touch up. (eg. Lipstick, make-up wipes, hair brush, hair pins).
- STUDENTS: Get changed into their first costume again. CLICK HERE FOR RUNNING ORDER OF SHOWS.
- PARENTS: To Check-In and be seated in the SKYDECK from 12:15PM. There is a lift for accessibility if required.

6) TUESDAY MORNING Fairy Ballet and Lil Groovers - 10TH AUGUST SHOWCASE DETAILS (no tickets required for this showing)
- PERFORMANCE & CLASS DISCO TIME: 9:30AM - 10:30PM (approx)
- DROP OFF TIME: Parents bring students by 9:15AM (Students will stay with Miss Olivia).
- STUDENTS: Arrive wearing their costume (with warm clothes over the top).
- PARENTS: To Check-In and be seated in the SKYDECK from 9:20AM. There is a lift for accessibility if required.
- PLEASE NOTE: Both groups will do a little dance and then have a Disco together in the Skydeck with Miss Olivia. Parents to stay with Children during this time.
- SNACKS: The kids will be given a small snack - Popcorn and Real Fruit Juice. Please bring alternative if they are unable to have these due to allergy concerns.
- STUDENTS: Please have a change of clothes to wear as costumes are to go back in the plastic bag provided and given back to their teacher. (No costumes are to be taken home after the showing).
