Saki Oyama

Saki was born and raised in Kumamoto, Japan, where she began studying Ballet and Modern/Jazz. Her teacher was British, so she trained in England every summer.

She graduated from Steps on Broadway Conservatory (New York), where she delved into Hiphop and Street Jazz, and joined a Hiphop crew. Additionally, she performed at Carnegie Hall, NBC TV’s Red Nose Day, Japan Day, NY Jazz Choreography Project, and collaborated with Kalamandir Dance Company, Dana Moore, Chet Walker, Bill Hastings, Jack Gill, and more.

Following her graduation, she participated in the show “Unconventional Circus” (Italy) and performed at promotional events for Marina Bay Sands (Tokyo) and “Japan Expo Thailand 2020” as a backup dancer (Thailand). Furthermore, she obtained “JSDA Jazz Level 1” certification in Japan and was part of the 2022-2023 B.LEAGUE cheerleading dance team (Kumamoto Volters).

Saki has continued her training in Melbourne, Australia under Robert Sturrock and recently performed in “The Boy from Oz” musical.

In addition to her extensive performance experience, Saki has been passionately sharing her expertise as a dance instructor for the past six years.
